Our final days in Cuernavaca

We've now left Cuernavaca and have moved on to new places. Our last few days there were fun, but it was sad having to say good bye to the many new friends and "family" we made during our six weeks there. Here are a few parting shots from our last few days in the city of eternal spring, Cuernavaca...

This is our last bag of laundry. For a whopping $2.70 at the local lavanderia we had two loads of laundry washed, dried, ironed, folded, and bagged. Pretty good deal, huh?

Here is "camara shy" Valentina (our Mexican sister) and her dog, ET...

Z and I splurged and went to the famous hotel "Las Mananitas" for drinks...

Here's Z with his five dollar fruit drink...

The grounds of Las Mananitas are beautiful and full of free roaming exotic birds...

Here's a shot of the last sunrise I caught on the way to school.
It's hard to see, but the sun is rising above a volcano...

Our new neighborhood

We moved in with our Mexican family today. So after I got settled in, I took a stroll around our new neighborhood. We're at a higher elevation, so it's a bit cooler than where we were before. Our familia mexicana is very nice, and they live in a spacious house with a swimming pool and a cute little dog. I will post photos later from our new home and family. We'll only be here for a week, but already mama has cooked us a great dish of chili relleno.

Here are a couple shots...

Another interesting gate...

And of course, graffiti...where can you escape it?

Our last day in our little casita was today; we've moved in with our familia mexicana for the last week of our stay in Cuernavaca. Here are a few shots of the street we lived on and a few of the places we passed by on a daily basis....
