Tulip Town, WA

Tulips galore! That's what you'll see if you're lucky enough to visit the tulip fields during the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. The tulips bloomed a bit later than usual this year, so I was lucky to make it back up to the PNW just in time to catch the tail end of the festival.

Here are some shots from Tulip Town, where you can stroll through the colorful fields, check out indoor tulip displays, order tulip bulbs, and visit various art and food vendors...Sorry, I didn't keep track of all the names of the various tulips, but they sure are gorgeous to look at and photograph...

What a show of color!
The Skagit Valley must do well in the bulb business as well as cut flowers. I love the fields of tulips. We were in the Netherlands in March, too early for the really big fields of tulips like this.

Those are beautiful photos. I would love to see this. I especially like the low angle shots where you must have been lying on the ground. Great POV.

You have some GORGEOUS shots here. This was the first year we went to Tulip Town. We usually go to Roozengarde, which I love too, but Tulip Town was a little more fun for the kids with the tractor ride and face painting.

this is heavenly. i'd go gaga if i were there with a camera in hand.

i wonder if they eventually sell these blooms as cut flowers or they let them wilt.
