Sunset at Summit View Trails

As is usual for the summer months, our skies have been clear blue, so the sunsets aren't particularly spectacular. However, the lighting just before the sun sets behind the western hills can be rather fiery orange, especially against the golden hillsides. Today I walked up to my favorite sunset viewing park, Summit View Trails, to watch the summer sun disappear behind our hills. Take a quick look and enjoy the sunset hour at Summit View Trails...

All of San Ramon's parks have these "tombstone" looking signs...

Looks black and white, doesn't it...the view looking westward...

The view of Mt. Diablo and eastern San Ramon...

One of the benches for sunset viewing...

Lavender blowing in the wind...

View of the soft sunlight on the eastern hills...

Another bench...

The setting sun on one of the benches...

Today's sunset...looks like a lightbulb!
Hope you enjoyed the sunset. For other posts about San Ramon's Summit View Trails, click here and here.

I love sunsets. The hills look so soft, like they have been painted. Great shots.

Doesn't it just look like a lightbulb! How strange! I also love the looking westward shot.
