Hiking above San Ramon

Another beautiful sunny afternoon here in San Ramon with not a cloud in the sky... So I took to hills above Norris Canyon for a little hike. The trail climbed to the top of the hills above a new executive housing development called Roubion. Once I got to the top of the ridge, I had spectacular views of Mt. Diablo as well as the San Francisco Bay...

Here's the entry to the multimillion dollar subdivision...

Homes nestled in the hills...

View of Bollinger Canyon...

San Ramon and Mt. Diablo...

Looking southward toward Pleasanton...

Rock outcroppings...

Winding cow path...

Cows on the move...

Almost at the top...

A lone tree...

Telephoto view of San Francisco and the bridges from the top of the ridge...

A barn off in the distance...

Heading back down the trail...
Because of the recent rain we had, the hills are starting to turn green, but we are still in need of much more rainfall. Today the weather felt like spring had arrived, but according to the weather reports, we are supposed to get some rain on Thursday. Hopefully...
